Banking CV tips

• Style - keep it simple and formal. Use a readable font in size 12pt black
• Length - unless you have a lot of relevant past experience, aim to keep it to 2 sides of A4 printed - this will allow you to print double-sided and send the CV on a single sheet.
• Sell yourself - start with a snapshot summary of yourself and your professional status. You may want to add a short sentence about what type of job you are looking for in this part of your CV and tailor this to different applications.
• Career history - this is the most important part of your CV as it shows what experience you have relevant to the role you’re applying for. Make sure you explain any gaps in your employment history.
• Education - don’t go overboard listing all your GCSE results here. Give a chronological summary of your qualifications listing Institution, course of study and award.
